In a heartfelt tribute to one of Antigua’s most celebrated cultural icons, the Honourable Daryll Matthew, Minister of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, proudly honoured Claudette “CP” Peters for her remarkable 25-year journey in music and entertainment.

The recognition took place at the 2025 Mr. & Miss Teenage Pageant, fittingly the very stage where CP’s star first began to rise. In 1996, representing the Ottos Comprehensive School, Claudette captured hearts and won the crown, marking the start of an extraordinary career that has since inspired a nation.

Hailing from the vibrant village of Ottos in St. John’s Rural South, CP has grown to become a household name and a true ambassador for Antiguan culture. Her powerful vocals, electrifying performances and unwavering commitment to excellence have earned her widespread respect across the region and beyond.

Minister Matthew praised CP not only for her musical achievements but also for her enduring contribution to the cultural fabric of Antigua and Barbuda:

“Claudette is more than a performer. She is a symbol of what is possible when passion meets purpose. Her journey is a powerful reminder to our youth that greatness can begin right here at home.”

The Ministry congratulates Claudette “CP” Peters on this incredible milestone and looks forward to witnessing even more of her brilliance in the years to come.
