The Directorate of Gender Affairs (DoGA) has continued its Gender-Based Violence Awareness School Program with a recent visit to Grade 4 and 5 students at the Five Islands Primary School.

The initiative aims to educate and empower young students to identify and stand against gender-based violence while promoting respect, equality, and kindness. Through interactive presentations and discussions, students explored how empathy and understanding can help create safer, more inclusive environments.

DoGA thanked the teachers and students for their active participation, noting that fostering a culture of respect begins in schools and extends into communities. The program is part of the Directorate’s ongoing efforts to build awareness from an early age and encourage behavior that supports dignity and equality for all.
