Prime Minister Gaston Browne has highlighted the Peace, Love and Happiness (PLH) Resort in Barbuda as a flagship tourism development, noting that over $1 billion has been invested in the project, which includes more than 350 rooms and a world-class Tom Fazio golf course.

Speaking on the 44th Independence Day, Mr Browne said Antigua and Barbuda is moving upmarket in tourism while also diversifying the economy. Other luxury projects, including the Robert De Niro Nobu Resort and upcoming developments on Antigua, were also highlighted as part of the nation’s evolving tourism sector.

“Tourism is evolving — moving upmarket, diversifying, and extending benefits across our economy,” the Prime Minister said. “More jobs, more training, and more business opportunities for our people are the dividends of this progress.”
