Three new cement silos have been installed at the Ministry of Works Concrete Plant, marking what government officials describe as a major investment in Antigua and Barbuda’s infrastructure development.
According to Member of Parliament Maria Browne, the addition will significantly enhance the plant’s ability to store cement, ensuring greater efficiency and readiness to meet the increasing demand for public works, housing, and community development projects nationwide.
She said the upgrade, combined with the ministry’s new fleet of heavy-duty equipment, will help reduce downtime, accelerate project completion, and strengthen support for the Government’s goal of building a modern, resilient nation.
