Dr. Dave Ray, a USbased national of Antigua and Barbuda, was awarded an Honoris Causa — Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration — by EuroAsian University (Tallinn, Estonia) at the Grand Doctorate Convocation Ceremony held in San Francisco on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Dr. Ray received the honorary degree in recognition of 37 years of transformative entrepreneurship across Antigua and the United States, during which he created and sustained employment for 173 people. He was one of 93 honorees at the convocation representing a truly global cohort from the Caribbean (St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, Belize), Africa (South Africa, Burkina Faso, Guinea), Europe (the UK), Canada (Saskatchewan), and multiple states across the United States.

A seasoned scholar-practitioner, Dr. Ray holds a PhD in Business Management and Applied Sciences (Walden University, August 2010) and a Doctorate in Professional Cosmetology (DPC, National Institute of Cosmetology — accredited by the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, July 2012). He currently serves as the US Diaspora Official for the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

I’m committed to raising the bar for my five grandchildren, and to sharing institutional knowledge that advances the beauty industry and supports economic opportunity across communities.”

Throughout his career Dr. Ray has been an industry catalyst: leading seminars and workshops, conducting product research and development for major companies, and preparing products for both general and ethnic markets.

His work blends entrepreneurial leadership, applied research, and tangible workforce development.
