    Minister Michael Joseph Joins Global Leaders at Berlin Climate Mobility Forum 2026

    Minister of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs, Michael Joseph is among a distinguished group of high-level representatives from governments, international organizations, and development institutions participating in the Berlin Climate Mobility Forum 2026, which opens today in Berlin, Germany.

    The two-day forum brings together global leaders, policymakers, and development partners to strengthen cooperation on climate mobility and advance practical, scalable solutions that support adaptation, resilience, and sustainable development.

    As climate change continues to impact communities around the world, climate mobility is increasingly recognized as a critical issue that intersects with environmental protection, governance, public health, and socioeconomic development.

    Among the senior officials participating in the forum are Nilda Borges da Mata, Minister of Environment, Youth and Sustainable Tourism of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe; Diaz Faisal Malik Hendropriyono, Vice-Minister of Environment of the Indonesia; Noelia Souque, Ambassador for Cross-Border Cooperation of the Andorra; M.T. Oshurbayev, Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kazakhstan; Emmanuel King Urey Yarkpawolo, Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia; and Daniel M. Best, President of the Caribbean Development Bank.

    Minister Joseph is being supported at the forum by Antigua and Barbuda’s Climate Ambassador, Ruleta Camacho-Thomas whose work continues to advance the country’s climate advocacy efforts on the regional and international stage.

    The forum provides an important platform for dialogue and collaboration as countries seek to address the growing impacts of climate change on communities and livelihoods.

    Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening policy responses, enhancing resilience, and fostering partnerships that support vulnerable populations affected by climate-related displacement and migration.

    Minister Joseph’s participation underscores Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to addressing the impacts of climate change and contributing to international efforts aimed at building resilience, promoting sustainable environmental stewardship, and supporting communities facing climate-related challenges.
