    LETTER: I Need To Bathe!!!

At this point, the ongoing water situation with APUA is beyond frustrating.

We have now resorted to calling the Water Business Unit almost every day just to find out whether our communities will be receiving a basic necessity “water”. A service that we continue to pay for whether we receive a consistent supply or not.

I have personally called the Water Business Unit for the past two days, only to be told that they have not received a water distribution schedule. For two days? How are customers supposed to plan their daily lives when even the employees responsible for providing information have no schedule or updates to give?

At this point, I feel as though I am harassing the workers by constantly calling, when in reality, customers should not have to call every day searching for information in the first place.

People need water to cook, bathe, wash, clean, and carry out basic everyday activities. If there are challenges affecting the water supply, then communicate that clearly and consistently. Customers deserve to know when their communities are expected to receive water, especially when interruptions have become so frequent.

The lack of water is frustrating enough. The lack of communication makes it even worse.
