The Ministry of Works has begun replacing missing and damaged concrete slabs covering a major drainage channel in the Grays Farm and Grace Green area.

Minister of Works Maria Browne shared an update on Monday, stating that crews were carrying out repairs to improve safety and accessibility for residents and pedestrians who use the area.

According to Browne, the work involves the replacement of broken and missing slabs over the large drain that runs through the community.

The repairs form part of ongoing efforts by the ministry to address infrastructure concerns and maintain public safety in neighborhoods across Antigua and Barbuda.

Residents have previously raised concerns about exposed sections of drains, which can pose hazards to pedestrians and motorists.

The ministry has not indicated when the project will be completed.
