Mental Health Talk Antigua to Host Second Annual ‘Mindful – The Release’ Wellness Event as It Celebrates 5 Years of Impact and Expands Its Team

**St. John’s, Antigua – May 1st, 2025** – Mental Health Talk Antigua proudly announces the **Second Annual ‘Mindful – The Release’ Wellness Experience** , an inspiring event set for **Saturday, May 10th, 2025** , at 6 PM. As the organization marks its **5th anniversary** , it invites the community to reflect, recharge, and release during an evening of holistic wellness—while also celebrating five years of advocacy, education, and empowerment in mental health.

With a contribution of just **$50** , attendees will engage in a powerful blend of meditation, breathwork, journaling, movement, and storytelling. Proceeds from the event will directly support **Mental Health Talk Antigua’s ongoing awareness initiatives**.

This milestone year also marks an exciting new chapter: **the organization is opening recruitment for a host of volunteer and leadership positions**. Individuals who are passionate about mental health and wellness are invited to join the team and help shape the next five years of impact.

“Reaching five years is a testament to the power of community and the importance of mental health conversations,” said **Alisha Thomas** , Co-founder and Mental Health Educator. “ _‘Mindful – The Release’_ is our way of saying thank you while creating space for people to reset, reflect, and release what no longer serves them. And now, we’re welcoming new voices and new hearts to carry this work forward with us.”

Held under the theme _“The Release”_ , this second installment of the **Mindful** series will continue to offer practical tools for emotional healing and resilience.

“It’s not just a wellness event it’s a celebration of resilience and community,” said **Regina Apparicio** , Co-founder and Director. “We’ve all been carrying something. This is a chance to lay it down, breathe deeply, and connect with ourselves and others. And as we expand our team, we want people who are just as committed to this mission.”

Participants will receive a curated wellness goodie bag, engage with interactive self-care stations, and contribute to the event’s signature _Pop-the-Balloon_.

“This year’s theme speaks to me personally,” shared **Jonelle Walsh** , Co-founder and Events Manager. “ _‘The Release’_ reminds us that holding on to stress, grief, or fear keeps us from stepping fully into the present. This event is an invitation to let go and grow. And with new team members, we’ll multiply that impact.”

**Monifa St. John** , Co Founder and Deputy Director, added, “We’ve poured our hearts into creating a space that feels safe, intentional, and inspiring. Every dollar raised goes back into our mission, and as we grow, so does our ability to serve. If you’re passionate about mental health, there’s a place for you with us.”
