United Progressive Party (UPP) Deputy Leader Sherfield Bowen has accused the ruling Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) government of systemic financial mismanagement, unlawful expenditure, and a troubling lack of transparency in public finances.

Speaking at a UPP townhall meeting on Monday, Bowen referenced official reports from the Director of Audit covering fiscal years 2017 to 2019, all of which issued adverse audit opinions —the most serious form of disapproval in public sector accounting.
