ST. JOHN’S, Antigua (Oct. 27, 2025) — The fifth edition of the Antigua Bermuda Race will set sail on April 29, 2026, marking the event’s return after a two-year pause.

The 935-nautical-mile ocean challenge, organized by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in partnership with Antigua Sailing Week, is timed between Antigua Sailing Week (April 22–26) and SailGP Bermuda (May 9–10).

The race, supported by the Bermuda Tourism Authority, Goslings Rum, and Fairhaven Shipyard, welcomes IRC and CSA yachts, cruiser racers, multihulls, super yachts, classics, and double-handed teams. Motor-assisted yachts may also compete under a special handicap rule.

Starting off Fort Charlotte, Antigua, the fleet will sail past Barbuda and into open ocean, finishing at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club by May 7.

“The race offers a great option to take your boat north out of the Caribbean in a safe, economic and highly enjoyable way,” said Race Chair Les Crane.

Registration opens Nov. 15, and the 2026 Notice of Race is now available online.
