Former Independent Senator Kiz Johnson has officially launched her campaign to represent the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) in the constituency of St. Philip’s South.
Johnson, who resigned from the Senate effective October 24, announced her candidacy with a message calling for “bold leadership” and “real change for real people.” In her campaign launch, titled _The Bold Way Forward_ , she urged residents to embrace courage, conviction, and purpose as the foundation for progress in the constituency.
“It’s time to lead with courage, act with conviction, and move with purpose,” Johnson said in her campaign message. “This isn’t about playing it safe — it’s about creating real change for real people. St. Philip’s South, let’s step into the future.”
Her entry into active politics marks a new phase in her public service career following her tenure as an Independent Senator, where she served under the appointment of Governor-General Sir Rodney Williams. Johnson’s campaign emphasizes inclusivity, vitality, and community-driven development.
