The Police are currently investigating three separate incidents of wounding that occurred over the weekend.
On Saturday, a male resident of Barbuda reported to the police that he was wounded in the head with a glass bottle by someone during an altercation. His injury is not life-threatening. Investigations are ongoing into the matter.
In a separate incident, police responded to a report of wounding on St. George Street around 12:20 a.m. on Sunday. The victim, a male resident of Grays Farm, was taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre with a head injury allegedly inflicted with a cutlass.
He reported to the police that he was attacked by four unknown assailants, who later fled the scene in a northerly direction. The victim remains in the hospital, while receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, a male resident of Grays Farm reported that he was struck in the head by an unknown assailant with what appeared to be a firearm. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, while walking along Parliament Street. He sustained a wound to his forehead and was treated for his injury. Investigations remain ongoing.
