The government has purchased a new stone crusher to boost aggregate production and speed up concrete road repairs across the country, Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced Saturday.

Speaking on the Browne and Browne Show, Browne said the crusher has been fully paid for and is expected to arrive within 45 to 60 days.

The equipment will increase the supply of aggregates used in concrete production, addressing what the prime minister described as current limitations in daily output.

“With this new crusher, we’ll be able to produce more aggregates and, as a consequence, pave more roads,” Browne said.

He noted that the move forms part of a broader push to expand concrete road construction, improve durability and enhance the quality of public infrastructure.

The government is also preparing to deploy additional road repair equipment in the coming weeks, as part of what Browne described as an intensified effort to upgrade the country’s road network.
