Police are continuing investigations into a string of early morning break-ins targeting women in their homes across multiple communities, with a suspect still evading capture more than a year after the first reported incident.

The cases, reported in Cashew Hill, Radio Range and Bendals, follow a similar pattern in which the intruder gains entry through unsecured windows before confronting occupants inside.

Authorities believe the same individual may be responsible for several incidents dating back to September 2023, when a masked man armed with a knife entered a woman’s home and sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

In another reported case, a woman said she was awakened by a man dressed entirely in black who shone a light in her face and demanded money while searching through her belongings.

Investigators have also received reports of additional attempted assaults in recent months, though some victims have declined to come forward publicly.

Despite police responding to each report, no arrest has been made, prompting concern among residents who are urging increased patrols and stronger security measures in affected areas.

Authorities are advising residents to secure windows and other entry points, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activity as efforts continue to identify and apprehend the suspect.
