    Tyra Fenton Cops Antigua & Barbuda’s first Medal of the 2026 Carifta Games

    Antigua and Barbuda’s rising sprinting sensation, Tyra Fenton, has copped the bronze medal in the Girls Under-17 400 metres at the 53rd Carifta Games in Grenada.

    Fenton, who was defending champion in the event, crossed the line in 52.62 seconds on day one of the regional athletics championships.

    Last year’s runner-up, Keyezra Thomas of The Bahamas, was second once more, clocking 52.58.

    Jamaica’s Shameika McLean claimed the gold medal in 52.47.
