Antigua and Barbuda athletes Delbert Joseph, Geron Henry and Jaeda Pigott were among several competitors recording new personal best performances at the CARIFTA Games.
Joseph clocked 21.73 seconds in the Under-20 boys’ 200 metres, while Henry posted 21.92 seconds in the Under-17 boys’ 200 metres during the morning session.
Pigott returned a time of 2 minutes, 18.03 seconds in the Under-17 girls’ 800 metres in the afternoon session.
In distance events, Shawn-Ze Joseph and Elite Thomas also delivered strong runs in the Under-17 boys’ division, finishing in 10:25.48 and 10:31.62 respectively.
The Antigua Barbuda Athletic Association said the results signal steady improvement, with athletes continuing to raise their performance levels on the regional stage.
