    Dion Kiethly Massiah Wins Jermaine Kentish Birthday Shootout for Third Straight Year

    It was money in the bank once again for Dion Kiethly Massiah, as the man fron New Winthorpes swung his way to the top prize in the Jermaine Kentish Birthday shootout for the third consecutive year….

    Massiah made it a hatrick of wins by outlasting another star studded field to take home the grand prize of five hundred Eastern Caribbean dollars.

    Massiah, who is a veteran greens keeper at Cedar Valley Golf Course, added to his victories in 2024 and 2025, by defeating the birthday boy in the second round of playoffs on number 18 green.

    Kentish took home two hundred and fifty dollars for finishing as the runner-up while third place finisher, Dave Christian pocketed one hundred and fifty.

    The event attracted a number of celebrities including national hero Sir Viv Richards, his fellow West Indies players Sir Richie Richardson and Eldine Baptiste, Akeem Edwards of Donut Ace and Dan Archibald, who was adjudged the competition’s best dressed player.

    The nine hole championship attracted seventeen players and was sponsored by, Errol Hodge and Sir Richie Richardson.
