Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) Chairman E.P. Chet Greene says the party is entering the general election with confidence that it can secure victories across all constituencies, pointing to growing momentum and shifting political support.

Speaking during the party’s campaign launch, Greene said the ABLP is approaching the race with the view that “all seats are in play,” including constituencies traditionally held by the opposition.

“All seats are in play,” he said, arguing that the party’s outreach and engagement on the ground have strengthened its position nationwide.

He pointed to recent public endorsements as evidence of changing political dynamics, including support from individuals previously aligned with the opposition.

“Tonight we saw… Billy King Warrior… coming out in public to endorse Comrade Lamin Newton,” Greene said, describing the move as a sign of expanding support beyond the party’s traditional base.

Greene said the ABLP’s strategy is focused on both consolidating support in its strongholds and making gains in opposition areas, with candidates actively engaging voters across communities.

“That tells you about the momentum and the bond that we are forging with people, even in constituencies which traditionally would have posed some problems for us,” he said.

He also expressed confidence in the party’s slate of candidates, highlighting their professional backgrounds and community ties as key factors in strengthening the ABLP’s appeal.

The remarks come as campaigning intensifies ahead of the general election, with the ABLP seeking to extend its hold on government and secure another term in office.

Greene said the party’s focus remains on maintaining strong connections with voters while advancing its campaign across all constituencies.
