    Notice to Exit Employees: SLBMC Outlines Retroactive Payments and Eligibility

    𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗫𝗜𝗧 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗘𝗘𝗦:

    Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) is sharing an important update regarding retroactive payments for exit staff members. Please see the details below regarding eligibility for the 9% salary increase and retroactive risk allowance.

    ​𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗟𝗕𝗠𝗖/𝗠𝗦𝗝𝗠𝗖.

    Former employees of Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre are advised of the following:

    1. Final Retroactive Payment – 9% Salary Increase

    Former eligible employees who were employed during the period January 1, 2019 to January 31, 2024, are advised of the payment of the outstanding balance of retroactive payment associated with the 9% salary increase for the aforementioned period.

    Please note that any previous payments made towards this total amount will be deducted.

    Eligibility Criteria

    a. Former employees who were employed after January 1 2019; and

    b. Held a permanent position (i.e., were not employed on a fixed-term contract) during the qualifying period.

    2. Retroactive Risk Allowance Payments (January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2019)

    Former employees who were employed between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2019, and who were not in receipt of a risk allowance during that period, may be eligible for retroactive risk allowance payments.

    All inquiries should be sent to finance.helpdesk@msjmc.org with the subject line: First Name Last Name – Retroactive Payment Inquiry (Risk Allowance/9% Increase).

    Payment Processing Instructions

    Former employees who are currently residing in Antigua will be issued payment by cheque, while those residing overseas will receive payment via bank transfer. Please indicate in your email whether you are resident in Antigua or abroad.

    For Cheque Payments (Residents in Antigua):

    ▪️State the exact name the cheque should be written in

    ▪️Present a valid government-issued photo ID when collecting payment

    For Overseas Bank Transfers:

    Please email the following documentation and banking details to facilitate payment processing:

    1. A valid government-issued photo ID

    2. Current address

    3. Account number or IBAN number

    4. Name and address of bank

    5. Bank SWIFT code or FW routing number

    6. Name and address of correspondent bank

    7. Correspondent bank SWIFT code or FW routing number

    Your electronic payment timeline and cheque collection date will be communicated to you via email once information is confirmed.
