The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) wishes to inform the general public that it will be conducting a training exercise, “Exercise Daybreak,” from 13th to 17th April 2026.

This exercise forms part of the Force’s ongoing preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

It will include the participation of regional partners from St. Kitts and Nevis and Barbados, as well as the Canadian Armed Forces and the Regional Security System (RSS) Headquarters, in addition to various local government agencies in Antigua and Barbuda.

During this period, military activities will take place across multiple locations throughout Antigua and Barbuda. Members of the public may observe an increased military presence, including soldiers operating in simulated real-world scenarios.

The ABDF assures the public that this is a planned training exercise, and there is no cause for alarm.

The cooperation and understanding of the public are greatly appreciated.
