    E. P. Chet Greene has outlined plans to expand healthcare services in St. Paul’s, including the development of new eye care and dental clinics, as part of efforts to improve access to medical treatment within the community.

Speaking during a meet-and-greet with constituents, Greene said an expanded clinic is already taking shape, with additional services to follow.

“We have an expanding new clinic that comes to us,” Greene told residents, pointing to ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in the constituency.

He said the next phase will focus on specialized services, including eye care and dental treatment, aimed at reducing the need for residents to seek care outside the area.

“We will build an eye-care clinic,” Greene said, adding that the facility is being supported with equipment already secured to deliver what he described as “a first-class, world-class eye health clinic.”

Greene also confirmed plans for a dental clinic to complement the expansion, noting that both facilities will form part of a broader healthcare hub within St. Paul’s.

“We also intend… a dental clinic. So when you have the… a dental clinic, what we have is a compact, a medical compact, which will serve all of the people here in the St. Paul area,” he said.

The foreign affairs minister said the projects are intended to improve accessibility and strengthen community-based care, particularly as demand for health services continues to grow.

He added that the initiatives will move forward as part of post-election development planning, with healthcare remaining a central focus.

The proposals come as residents continue to raise concerns about access to services, with the planned facilities expected to ease pressure on existing healthcare infrastructure and improve outcomes for people living in the constituency.
