The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party expresses sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of Comrade Philbert Mason.

Comrade Mason was a national treasure, widely respected as one of Antigua and Barbuda’s most iconic and prolific meteorologists. His outstanding contribution to nation-building was recognised at the 1995 National Awards Ceremony, where he was honoured for his role in helping to shape the modern Antigua and Barbuda.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Comrade Mason was a loyal and steadfast Labour Party stalwart. He served with distinction as Second Vice Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party over several terms and remained deeply committed to the advancement of the Party and the development of the nation.

He was a strategist, mentor, entrepreneur, and patriot who gave generously of his time, wisdom, and talent. Over the years, he guided and encouraged many candidates, offering counsel rooted in experience, loyalty, and an unwavering belief in strong governance and national progress.

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party feels a deep sense of sorrow at the loss of such a distinguished comrade. His memory will forever be etched in the annals of Labour history, and his legacy of service, dedication, and nation-building will continue to inspire generations to come.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
