    OAS Electoral Observation Mission pays Courtesy Call on the Governor General

    Courtesy Meeting with the OAS Electoral Observation Mission

    His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams received members of the Organization of American States (OAS) Electoral Observation Mission during a courtesy meeting at Government House.

    The purpose of the meeting was to consider the perspectives and views of key political actors relevant to the electoral process, as part of the Mission’s mandate to support transparency, inclusiveness, and confidence in democratic systems.

    The OAS delegation comprised:

    • Ms. Maricarmen Plata , Chief of Mission
    • Ms. Melene Glynn , Deputy Chief of Mission
    • Mr. Diego Paez , Press Officer
    • Ms. Clarissa Ribeiro , Specialists Coordinator

    The engagement forms part of the Mission’s broader consultations with national stakeholders to assess the electoral environment and contribute to strengthening democratic governance.
