The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs has welcomed Michael Joseph following his appointment as minister, effective May 5, 2026.

In a statement, the ministry said it “warmly welcomes the Honourable Michael Joseph on his appointment as Minister,” extending congratulations as he takes over leadership of what it described as a vital portfolio.

“This portfolio plays a critical role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our nation, advancing environmental sustainability, and strengthening the public service,” the statement said.

The ministry added that it looks forward to working with Joseph as he assumes responsibility for healthcare, environmental management and civil service affairs.

“We look forward to working under his guidance and vision to continue delivering high-quality healthcare, promoting national wellness, protecting our environment, and enhancing service delivery across the civil service,” it said.

The statement concluded with well wishes for Joseph as he begins his tenure, noting, “We wish you every success in this new chapter of service to our country.”
