Minister Joseph congratulated President Leah Benjamin, Vice President Yvelle Charles-Jenkins, Secretary Orlanda Small, Treasurer Kester Gibbs, and Assistant Secretary Aleyce Bennett on assuming their respective leadership roles within the Society.

In offering his congratulations, Minister Joseph noted the critical role pharmacists play in the healthcare system and expressed confidence that the newly elected executive will continue to advance the profession while contributing to improved health outcomes across Antigua and Barbuda.

“As a pharmacist myself, I have a deep appreciation for the important work carried out by members of the pharmaceutical profession each day. Pharmacists are among the most accessible healthcare professionals and serve as an essential link between patients and the healthcare system,” Minister Joseph stated.

The Minister encouraged the new executive to embrace collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence as they undertake their responsibilities.

“I encourage the newly appointed leadership team to work closely together and with all stakeholders in the healthcare sector to strengthen the profession, promote best practices, and ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care for the people of Antigua and Barbuda. Your leadership comes at an important time when healthcare systems globally are evolving, and pharmacists continue to play an increasingly vital role in patient care and public health,” he said.

Minister Joseph further emphasized the importance of unity within the profession and urged the Society to continue advocating for the advancement of pharmacy practice, professional development, and patient-centred care.
