Two men allegedly stabbed a 63-year-old man during a daytime robbery on Armstrong Road before fleeing with his gold chain.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday afternoon after the victim and his wife left the CMC area, where they had been selling rice pudding. The man had stopped outside a superette on No. 2 Armstrong Road while his wife went inside.
Police said two young men approached the parked vehicle, and one allegedly grabbed the gold chain from around the victim’s neck. During the ensuing struggle, the 63-year-old sustained a stab wound to his right shoulder, reportedly inflicted with what appeared to be a pair of scissors.
The suspects fled on foot in the direction of Kentish Road and remain at large. Police investigations are ongoing.
