LETTER: APUA and PWD- What a mess

    Dear Editor,

I say this clearly and pellucidly.. This island is a tragedy. No one is in charge. There is no plan. There is no supervision and most importantly, there is no accountability.

In Newfield, APUA has dug up the roads and laid pipes that are connected to nothing and have not been seen for months. Roads are a mess. Dust is killing the home owners and there is still no water.

The road between Friars Hill road and Marble Hill Road, This one was dug up in the first week of January. Then 2 months ago they came back and took 6 weeks to put down a sidewalk on one side of the road.

Nothing for a month, now, they are back digging up again to put a sidewalk on the other side of the road. This road has minimal pedestrian traffic, why reduce the width of the road with another useless and unnecessary sidewalk?.

And all of this digging up and laying of pipes was because the road broke up regularly.

If a simple study had been done, they would have discovered that the damage to that section of the road is being caused by water coming from the entertainment complex on weekends which undermines the road..So having done all of this with dust killing us, the road, whenever finished in the far future, will break up again.

For how much longer will we put up with this nonsense?

    Poor we.

    Denzil
