_POLICE CONTINUE PROBE INTO SHOOTING INCIDENT AT CRABBS PENINSULA_
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Police are continuing investigations into a shooting incident at Crabbs Peninsula that left a 59-year-old man nursing gunshot wounds.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, police received a report of a shooting at the Yida Special Economic Zone at Crabbs Peninsula.
Officers from the Parham Police Station and other departments responded to the report and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The victim, 59-year-old Zhang Yida, was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was treated for two gunshot wounds to the upper body. He remains hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information that could assist with the investigation to come forward.
