The Antigua and Barbuda Table Tennis Association (ABTTA) proudly reports that Tuesday’s “Table Tennis in Every School” activation drew 67 students and 8 PE teachers to the Multipurpose Cultural & Exhibition Centre for a hands-on introduction to the sport. Event highlights included an inspirational address by Stuti Kashyap (World #66 – U19 Girls/ World #35 – U17 Girls/ITTF Americas #2 U17 Girls) and a series of skill-building drills led by ABTTA coaches.
“Seeing so many young faces discover table tennis for the first time—and learning directly from Stuti—was an incredible moment for our association,” said ABTTA President Charles “Chucky” Bellot. “This launch has set the stage for even greater community engagement.”
Building on that momentum, ABTTA now invites the public to the Generations Rally on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same venue. This inclusive festival—under the theme “All Ages, All Abilities: Table Tennis for EveryBODY—Everyone is Welcome at the Table”—will feature:
- Family Pairings: Parent/child and grandparent/child doubles
- Adaptive Play: Wheelchair-accessible tables and seated rally stations
- Community Rally: Multi-ball group rallies and mini-matches
- Health & Wellness Corner: Free blood-pressure and glucose screenings, courtesy of Dr. Sri and colleagues from the American University of Antigua
This event is also free, open to all ages and abilities, and requires no prior experience. Schools, families, and community groups are encouraged to participate and experience the unifying power of table tennis.
