The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs is expanding access to cervical cancer prevention services with a series of weekend HPV vaccination clinics and free HPV testing sessions throughout March.

Health officials said the initiative is aimed at increasing uptake among individuals who are unable to attend appointments during the regular workweek, as part of the government’s ongoing commitment to protecting public health.

Free weekend HPV testing will be offered at the Villa Polyclinic on March 7–8 and March 21–22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to details provided in an official flyer.

The testing campaign targets women between the ages of 30 and 65, particularly those who have never had an HPV test and those who have not undergone surgery to remove the entire uterus. Officials noted that women who have previously had a Pap smear are still eligible for HPV testing.

The ministry is also continuing to provide the HPV vaccine and is urging eligible individuals to take advantage of the special weekend clinics being held during the month.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is linked to cervical cancer, and health authorities say early detection and vaccination remain critical tools in reducing the disease’s impact.

For additional information, members of the public are encouraged to contact the ministry using the details provided on the flyer.
