Police are searching for a young man following the theft of an iPhone from Christo’s on High Street around 10:38 a.m.

The stolen device is reportedly in a black case. Its lock screen displays a photograph of a woman wearing a green dress standing in front of a white car.

Members of the public, as well as operators of phone repair and retail shops, are being asked to remain alert in case the device is brought in to be unlocked or offered for sale.

Anyone with information or who recognizes the individual involved is asked to contact 764-6454 or 462-1073.

Authorities say public assistance could help lead to the recovery of the phone.
