Four Antiguans Train in China in Water-Saving Agriculture
Four participants from Antigua and Barbuda are receiving specialised training in China in modern irrigation, soil monitoring and smart agricultural technologies.
The programme combines lectures, practical exercises and visits to agricultural research centres and demonstration sites in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Baoding and Tianjin.
Participants are learning how water-saving irrigation and measurement systems can improve agricultural productivity while conserving limited water resources.
Before completing the programme, the delegation will develop an action plan for applying the knowledge gained in Antigua and Barbuda, where water scarcity remains a major challenge for agriculture.
