    🚨 FLASH FLOOD WARNING 🚨

    Issued 5:40 PM ECT • Sat 17 May 2025

    Valid until 2:00 AM Sunday

    Areas: Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla & the BVI

    Threat: Moderate–major flooding already occurring / imminent.

    What to do NOW

    Move to higher ground if you’re in low-lying or flood-prone spots.

    Never walk or drive through flood water. Just 1 ft can sweep a car away—Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

    Secure valuables & switch off electricity if safe.

    Keep devices charged; stay tuned to local radio/TV for updates.

    What’s happening

    A trough is dumping heavy showers—up to 2 inches have fallen in 2 hrs and 2 inches more may fall by midnight. Expect rapid rises in creeks, streams & streets.
