The prestigious Lady Williams Humanitarian Award for 2025 has been awarded to Therese Mathurin at the recent Christ the King High School Annual Graduation Ceremony held last Friday.

Ms. Mathurin exemplifies vibrancy and compassion, serving as a beacon of moral support and inspiration among her peers. Throughout her high school journey, she has demonstrated stellar leadership, serving on the Student Council for three years and earning the esteemed position of Deputy Head Girl in her senior year.

A committed participant in a wide array of school activities, Therese has actively engaged in devotions, sports, charity initiatives, and community events. Her passion for fostering spiritual growth was evident as she encouraged fellow students to come together for prayer and Bible study, creating a sense of unity and purpose within her school community.

Beyond her spiritual initiatives, Therese championed charitable causes, notably promoting the Charity Excelsior campaign. Her efforts motivated students to donate school supplies for children in need, highlighting her heartfelt commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

The Lady Williams Humanitarian Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate extraordinary compassion, leadership, and service in both of Her Excellency’s Alma Maters — Christ the King High School and the Antigua Girls’ High School. Therese Mathurin’s dedication and unwavering commitment to uplifting others embody the true spirit of this honor. She is a remarkable student whose unwavering dedication to service, faith and leadership have made a lasting impact on her community.
