The Knuckle Block Community Centre in St. John’s Rural West has officially come under the management of the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, with plans to revitalise the facility ahead of the upcoming academic year.
Senator Michael Joseph announced the development, confirming that the centre will be transformed into a dynamic hub for after-school programmes and wider community engagement.
“The focus is clear: bringing the space back to life as a vibrant hub for after-school programmes and community activities,” he stated. “Our goal is to ensure the centre is up and running for the new school year, and I’m proud to say we’re on track to deliver.”
Joseph also thanked Minister Rawdon Turner and the Ministry of Works for conducting a walk-through of the facility as preparations begin.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to create safer spaces and foster brighter futures for young people in the constituency.
