The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is closely monitoring a small area of low pressure, designated as Invest 94L, currently located in the central tropical Atlantic.
Forecasters say the system has a low chance—around 20 percent—of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next several days. The disturbance is expected to move westward into an area with increasingly unfavourable environmental conditions, which would likely hinder further development.
While no coastal watches or warnings are in effect, the NHC will continue to track the system’s progress. Residents in the region are encouraged to stay informed, particularly as the Atlantic hurricane season remains active.
