The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has published its official Traffic Management Plan ahead of the commencement of the 2025 Carnival Celebrations.
This comprehensive plan is designed to regulate and control the flow of vehicular traffic in and around the city of St. John’s during the festive season. It aims to minimize traffic congestion, ensure public safety, and facilitate the smooth operation of all scheduled carnival activities.
As part of the implementation, several temporary traffic changes, diversions, and road closures will be put in place on key dates. These changes will affect specific routes and intersections within the city and surrounding areas, especially during major events such as T-shirt Mas, the Junior and Senior Parades, J’Ouvert, and the Last Lap celebrations.
The Police Administration is appealing to motorists, pedestrians, business operators, and the general public to strictly adhere to all traffic regulations and to follow the instructions of traffic officers on duty. The public’s cooperation is essential in ensuring a safe and incident-free carnival experience for all.
A copy of the Carnival 2025 Traffic Management Plan is attached to this release to provide further details and guidance. Members of the public are encouraged to review the plan carefully and make the necessary adjustments to their travel routes and schedules.
The Police Administration takes this opportunity to extend best wishes to the entire nation for a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable Carnival 2025 season.
