The words,of Count Ossie, Mystic Revelations of Rastafari, come to mind as Rastafari the world over commemorate the birthday of H.I.H Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia on Wednesday July 23. The bright light which came from the East, arousing such great longing for Africa among the wretched of the earth, in the post slavery era.
Rastafari is now becoming a people as the liberation music continues the evoke heartical vibes among peoples everywhere, and within the races, some of whom don’t even know the history of being dread. As we see the various branches and the different ‘churches’ within Rastafari Revelation around the world evolve, their diet, apparel, religious outlook, and behaviour distinguishes them as a people apart from the crowd. Following many of the same traditional rules which the prophets of old preached, threatening fire and brimstone, Rastafari challenged the system which was referred to as Babylon.
Peace & Love became the blessing shared with all, and the oneness of all Rastafari became the basis for existence in a world heading towards destruction.
