    Shooting Case Against Hezekiah Parker Adjourned Until September

    A man accused of a shooting that left another injured in the heart of St John’s late last year will remain in custody as his case has been adjourned to 11 September 2025.

    Hezekiah Parker Jr, 36, of Wireless Road, is facing several serious charges following a December 2024 incident on Redcliffe Street. The victim, a 29-year-old man from Parham, was reportedly standing along the busy thoroughfare when he was shot in the back of the neck on 16 December. He was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for emergency treatment.

    Parker was later arrested and charged with shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.

    He remains on remand while the case is pending.
