A 38-year-old man from St Johnston’s Village is recovering after sustaining serious hand injuries during an altercation at the Holberton Hospital compound on Tuesday morning.
The incident, which occurred around 7:00 am, left the victim with severed tendons in three fingers on his left hand and one on his right. He was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for urgent treatment and underwent surgery to repair the damage.
Reports indicate that the altercation involved another man from Potters Village. While the injuries were not deemed life-threatening, the extent of the wounds required immediate medical intervention.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
