Two rising meteorologists, Bianca Bless and Charissa Humphreys, have completed their studies at the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) in Barbados, marking a proud moment for regional science and sustainability.
The CIMH, a specialised institution under the Caribbean Meteorological Organisation and CARICOM, is known for training experts in meteorology, hydrology, and climate science across 16 Caribbean member states.
Bless and Humphreys are being celebrated for their dedication to advancing weather and climate forecasting in the region. Their achievements reflect the institute’s wider mission to strengthen climate resilience and sustainable development in the Caribbean.
Officials praised both graduates for their commitment to public service and scientific excellence, noting the critical role trained forecasters play in disaster preparedness, early warning systems, and environmental management.
As they begin the next chapter of their professional journey, Bless and Humphreys are expected to contribute to improving weather and climate services across the region.
