Police are investigating a break-in at the Parham Seventh-Day Adventist Church in which two large flat-screen televisions were stolen over the weekend.
The incident came to light earlier this week when a church elder discovered that two 75-inch televisions, valued at a total of EC $6,000, had been removed from the sanctuary.
Investigators believe the theft took place sometime between Friday evening and Monday afternoon. According to police, the intruder gained access to the building by forcing open a window on the southern side of the church.
Officers have interviewed several residents in the area, but no major leads have emerged. The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda says the investigation is ongoing and has appealed to the public for information that could assist in identifying those responsible.
No arrests have been made, and church officials have not yet issued a statement.
