As part of the week of activities for Tourism Week 2025, being celebrated under the theme “Our People, Our Culture, Our Environment, in Full Thrive, Tourism Week 2025,” the Tourism Charity Day initiative will once again shine a light on compassion, community, and giving back to those most in need across Antigua and Barbuda.
This year’s Charity Day will channel its efforts toward making meaningful contributions to four vital institutions that continue to provide essential care and support to some of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens; the Adele School, the Clareview Psychiatric Hospital, the Fiennes Institute, and the Care Project. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Tourism and our stakeholders reaffirm our commitment to social responsibility and to ensuring that the spirit of tourism extends beyond economic activity to touch the lives of those who need it most.
As plans move forward for this year’s event, the Ministry of Tourism is extending an open invitation to tourism stakeholders and corporate Antigua to join hands once again in this meaningful effort. Their contributions will ensure that the Tourism Charity Day continues to bring hope, relief, and tangible support to individuals and institutions that work tirelessly for the wellbeing of the community.
In addition to contributing to a worthy cause, participating partners and sponsors will also benefit from enhanced brand visibility through the Tourism Charity Day campaign. Their support will be acknowledged across various media platforms, event promotions, and official Tourism Week activities, showcasing their commitment to community development and corporate social responsibility within Antigua and Barbuda’s vibrant tourism sector.
Last year’s Tourism Charity Day was hailed as a tremendous success, thanks to the overwhelming support received from the tourism and corporate community and we wish to extended heartfelt appreciation to the major sponsors; West Indies Oil Company Limited, Mega Distributors Limited, Chase Distributor’s Ltd, Little Canton, Go To Enterprise, Epicurean Fine Foods & Pharmacy, Garry’s Farm, Townhouse Mega Store, and Cool & Smooth, whose generosity and partnership were instrumental in making the initiative possible.
Corporate businesses, tourism stakeholders, and other interested partners who wish to take part in this year’s Tourism Charity Day are encouraged to contact Margo Ryan or Kessa Stevens-Lake at the Ministry of Tourism by calling 468-4082 or 468-4033 for more information.
