The Social Protection Board (SPB) marked Antigua and Barbuda’s Independence celebrations by distributing food packages to vulnerable families across the country.
The initiative, carried out under the Ministry of Social Transformation, aimed to bring comfort and joy to households in need. “As we celebrate our nation’s Independence, the Social Protection Board proudly joins in the spirit of unity, gratitude, and service to our people,” a release stated.
SPB Manager of Operations Mary Baltimore expressed thanks to Minister Rawdon Turner for his support, noting that his leadership made the initiative possible. “Minister Turner truly started Christmas in October,” she said, emphasizing his commitment to helping families and inspiring national unity.
