SOURCE: POINTE XPRESS- The Long Bay Brewing Company has showcased its operations to the public, marking three years of local beer production under the Barrett Group.
At an open house on Tuesday, guests toured the Antiguan-owned brewery and sampled its range of lager, IPA, and stout. The company, which began by supplying hotels and bars, entered the retail market this summer with a new line of canned beers.
Marketing consultant Calvert Francis said public response has been “overwhelmingly positive”, with strong demand across Antigua and Barbuda.
Long Bay Brewing has also strengthened its brand through sponsorship of Carnival 2025, Caribana in Barbuda, and The Melting Pot Show. “Our sponsorships show that Long Bay Beer is rooted in community and celebration,” Francis said.
The brewery now distributes island-wide and produces up to 2,000 cases a week, with capacity to reach 3,000. While focused on the local market, Francis hinted at regional ambitions.
“We’re proud to be brewing right here in Antigua and Barbuda,” he said. “Our goal is to build a brand that carries the Antiguan name across the Caribbean.”
