Proceedings in the murder case stemming from the country’s first reported killing of 2025 have been pushed back once again.
Deon Lloyd will not know until April 15 whether prosecutors have presented enough evidence to have him committed to stand trial in the High Court.
The date was set by Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel, who is expected to determine whether the case against the Lower Ottos resident meets the threshold to proceed on a charge of murder.
Police allege that Lloyd was involved in a fatal confrontation with 35-year-old Javorn Williams at Boggy Peak on January 2, 2025.
