Employees of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) have been directed to return to work after a meeting between Public Utilities Minister Melford Nicholas, union representatives and APUA management following Monday’s industrial action.

The meeting brought together officials from the Antigua Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU), including executives and shop stewards, along with members of APUA’s management team to address concerns raised by workers covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

APUA said the discussions were constructive and allowed both sides to clarify issues while reaffirming their commitment to continued dialogue.

Union members were subsequently instructed to return to their duty stations and resume normal operations.

The parties are expected to meet again on Wednesday, March 11, to continue discussions aimed at resolving the outstanding matters.
