A second bulk waste clean-up initiative was carried out in St. Mary’s South on Saturday, led by Senator Dwayne George in partnership with the National Solid Waste Management Authority and the Bolans Beautification Team.

The effort formed part of a community campaign held under the theme “Clean Where You Live,” aimed at removing large discarded items and improving the overall environment for residents.

According to George, volunteers and community members mobilised across the area to collect bulky waste while promoting responsible waste disposal practices.

The senator said the initiative continues to play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of communities in the constituency.

George described the exercise as another successful undertaking made possible through the cooperation of residents and volunteers.

He said it was encouraging to see people working together throughout the clean-up effort, noting the strong sense of unity and community pride displayed by participants.

The senator added that initiatives like the clean-up demonstrate how collective action can help build cleaner and healthier communities.
