    Lexus Recalls Vehicles Due to fuel pump failure

    The Prices and Consumer Affairs Division is advising the public that Toyota is recalling more than 9,000 Lexus vehicles due to fuel pump may fail, leading to stalls and a higher risk of crashes.

    The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that 9,139 Lexus vehicles are affected by the recall.

    The recall addresses a fuel pump failure that can trigger the check-engine light, prevent the engine from starting, or cause the vehicle to stall.

    The recall affects vehicles of the following models:

    2015-2022 Toyota Lexus RC

    2016-2020 Toyota Lexus GS

    2022 Toyota Lexus IS

    The recall campaign numbers are 26LB05 and 26LA05.

    Owners of the recalled 2015-2022 Toyota Lexus can receive a free fuel pump replacement at the authorized dealership.

    The division reminds the public that under the Consumer Protection Act 2025, consumers are not required to pay for repairs related to a manufacturer’s safety recall.
